Palm Zire 72- is low battery life normal??
A problem that's been bothering me ever since I've bought my Palm Zire 72 (in 2005) is very short battery life. Has anyone else experienced this? It only lasts me about 4 hrs (with extremely minimal use) and then the Palm warns the battery is extremely low! I'm talking having it connected to electricity all night & am, then leaving the house and having it in my pocketbk, checking the to do list only a few times & adding a few words to a Word (Docs to Go) document a few times. It auto-shuts off after 3 min's, but I always shut it off right after I use it.
I do use 1 alarm every day that sometimes will sound the alarm 3 times because I missed it. I understand (from researching this on the internet a couple of times) that alarms use a lot of battery power, but yikes, this is tremendous! I use Agendus Pro version 11. I have completely hard-reset the palm a few times since I've had it. I don't use RealPlayer and rarely use the camera. I have an SD 512MB memory card always inserted. I have iSilo installed for a DB that I access on the SD card - only using that while I am connected to electricity. I don't use it for email or bluetooth. I have bluetooth disabled. I regularly purge older records using the "performance" option. Is this normal for the Palm Zire??
