Hot Sync Freezes at datebook which shows twice

Hi,
Have a user that went from a Palm TX to the same exact model (1st one power button broke).  Now, when she goes to sync, it goes up until the datebook, says it was successful, but then in the details, it says datebook again, and that is where the sync freezes.   Looking at the detials of the sync, it show double calendar, contacts, addressess, etc.   I have no idea why this is doing it.

I took her palm home, installed a copy of Palm Desktop 6.2 on my Vista machine, and tried to sync her palm to my machine...same issue.  Stops in the same spot.

Any thoughts?  This is driving me nuts!

If it keeps stoping at the same place and you have tried it on a different computer, it would lead me to believe there is a bad spot in its memory. Kinda like having a bad sector on a hard drive preventing the installation of an OS.

What does the device use for storage?

Sorry.. new to the whole palm thing.  it is storing to the palm itself.. no card.   The fact that there are double entries during the sync (details) makes my wonder if there isn't an issue with the data.  She was able to sync it once when she first got it, but ever since then... it freezes.

Tried this:

Installed Palm desktop on a new install laptop running XP.   Tried to sync, and it freezing during the Calendar sync.   (which, is the same as the datebook on the 6.2 Vista version I assume).   I am guessing that this tells me that there is an issue with her calendar data that is ON the palm.   So.... I am at a loss as to what to do.  

This should be much easier than this.   I won't be buying myself a palm!

Anyone?

Yes, same place as before.

I am, as I type this, on line with palm... I have gone thru a dozen steps and still no dice.    Am waiting now for upper level support.   They mentioned something about corrupt records in the database....

Hi all...

Finally got this issue resolved.   Palm had to send me a dbfixit file, which I had to get up on to the palm.  Ran that utility several times to clear out 4 bad blobs (whatever they are!).   It was a few corrupt records in my calendar.  

Everything works like a charm now.
