The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. 85010014 activesync error, Windows Mobile 5, Excahnge 2007

I am getting an 85010014 error when i sync windows mobile 5 (moto q from sprint) with Excahnge 2007.

This started happening on 6/13.  last sync was  @ 3:28p that day, which corresponds with me importing/enabling a new certificate on the exchange box, previously we were just using the default server-signed cert.  The New cert is a UCC (Unified Communications Certificate) from Entrust.net that can certify up to 10 alias'.  I used this to cover Autodiscover, the server name, and the Mail.domain.com names.

I have checked the root certs on my mobile device per another solution on the site, but it was already there.  I tried to install the one directly from Entrust anyway, and my device said "Security permission was insufficient to update your device."

we have a 2003 box still hosting the Mail.domain.com, but my mailbox is on the 2007 machine.  So when i was syncing to mail.domain.com, i suppose it would authenticate with 03 first, then send my request to 07 to fulfil.  this has been working for a while, for multiple people on this box.  only the few users i have on 07 are having this problem.

I having been bounce this problem in my head and around the web, but cant quite get it.  I know there is something witht he cert, but i dont know.
