The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not?   • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Computer illiterate needs help with "inaccessible boot device - 0x0000007B" message

I have an Ibm Thinkpad Its about 5 years old with windows 2000 professional operating system.  I recently recieved a blue screen with "inaccessible boot device - 0x0000007B" .  I dont know alot about computers and I need important info off of it.  I tried starting it up in safe mode but it didnt work.  I also googled the problem and it seems like Im not hte first and all of the solutions are written in computer jargen.  I dont understand what anybodys talking about.  Can anyone please save computer.Start Free Trial
