Screen Scrolling Issue

Hi
I have recently upgraded an old R50 IBM Thinkpad laptop with more memory so that I can install Windows XP.

The Laptop is connected to an LCD display.

I have installed the latest graphics drivers for the laptop but whenever any screen scrolling is done (ie with documents or web pages) the screen seems to shudder and does not scroll smoothly.

Why is that?

How can I stop this?
