COntact previous owner to find password. If not file a claim against seller thru ebay. Get money back and purchase a differnet system. The seller commited fraud by selling this to you.

how yo remove bios password on a sony vaio PCG-GRZ615s laptop
Hi,
I have purchased a sony PCG-GRZ615s on e-bay. It has a password on startup. I have tried the usual backdoor passwords, and believe that removing any battery will not reset the bios as it is on an eeprom chip. Sony will not provide the password as I do not have a letter transfering tiltle from the original last registered owner. Some people say a dongle may be the answer. Can anyone help? pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee. need laptop for uni..

As much as I appreciate the comments made I have tried the jumpers and removed the bios battery with no joy. I dont have the technical skills to remove bios chip and put in new one nor can I afford it now, one person who might be able to help is fa0talXception dont know how to get hold of him or send him message..

It states above that you are a beginner on this subject so to be honest there is NO EASY way to do this procedure. The easiest way for you to recover this password and to be able to use your laptop again, go to the site below and read... You will need to buy another eeprom chip and send in your locked one along with signing a waiver.... Its probably your best bet considering your dilemma.....
