I found out that Orange software works with the built-in HSDPA card (its a customized version of GlobeTrotter Connect) - and it has a datacounter- problem solved - hopefully Vodafone will catch up and release something!

Have placed the sim from our mobile data card in the back and have downloaded "GlobeTrotter" software designed for XP (works with Vista) and I get a connection - problem is there is no data counter - which is essential so we do not create a huge bill by exceeding the download limit with constant VPN connections etc.
I am told that Vodafone do not yet provide software for Sony's
Any ideas or experience on how I can solve this?
Thanks

anyone make progress on this?
ive got globetrotter to connect with a vodafone 3g sim - but its unreliable (works for 2-10 mins but dies and only comes back if i turn WWAN off then on again).
This is in various good signal areas around central London where the vodafone sim works fine in its USB HSDPA stick..
thanks.
hey
GOOD NEWS. I downloaded the last full version of Vodafone mobile connect - and it picks up the internal modem. Works really fast and really reliably.
I suggest you try this (I already had the globetrotter software installed - dont know if that step is required or not) - but im very happy.
You may need to go to Device management (or similar area) to choose the built in modem.

NO. You need to contact Vodaphone and see if there are any other options or work arounds.
I hope this helps !
