It is under warranty. I live in KSA, and the laptop was purchased in UAE. There is no positive response from the dealer, though I have been following up for 3 months now.

However had plenty of crashes and system refused to recover from the recovery partition.
My Notebook has Vista Home Premium Edition, Upgraded to Vista Ultimate.

The warranty should be covered by HP instead of the dealer (international or UAE). Check if your latop have a serial number underneath. Try contacting HP (http://welcome.hp.com/cou
goto HP.com/support and you can order a recovery disk from the website .
you can also get the recovery CD made from a 3rd Party Website http://www.computersurgeon
there is a problem if u do a recovery from the HP made recovery Cd it will put you back to Vista Home prem.

Is your warranty over? You can try contacting HP and have them send you a cd copy recovery disk. Alternatively if the support center is near your place you and drop by and send in for recovery.
