One thing you might also try if the video driver thing doesnt work is to startup using step-by-step boot. The option should be selectable using the same method as safe mode F8 You will see a series of drivers being loaded in the command line. The last driver you see before the system crashes is the culprit. Jot it down and then from within safe mode uninstall it. That should get you to where you need to go.

are you sure these are the right drivers for the card? You've isolated the problem to drivers, so at this point, your options are to contact the vendor to confirm that the one you have is correct, roll them back to a previous version, or try an alternate set of drivers (since the ones you have apparently don't work).

Sounds like the video driver might not be right, or maybe the display settings are out of range. (too many pixels or too high a refresh rate) You can remove the video driver from within safe mode and reboot normally to see if that works.
