How do I move the hard drive from my Thinkpad X60 to my X61 without having to reinstall XP and everything else on the drive?

In the past, we have been able to make such migrations from/to similar Thinkpads, making for a very simple upgrade. However when I put the hard drive from my X60 into an X61, then boot the X61, just after the Windows boot screen appears, I then sadly get a Blue Screen Of Death. I tried booting into Safe Mode, but had the same problem. I assumed that we would have to install some missing X61-specific drivers, and I am fine with doing that. I just need to get it to boot in order that we can get that far. Start Free Trial
