My laptop has been on a downhill for a little bit now.. Here are the symptoms..
The battery doesn't work anymore. If you unplug it, it's off like a regular box. You don't even need the battery in the laptop.
If you do anything too intensive, or too many things at once, the laptop just shuts off. No warning, just asif you unplugged it.
I recently replaced the entire thing with Ubuntu, cleaned the whole thing out.
Sometimes it has a hard time even booting. It gets passed GRUB and such, but it powers off while booting cause its too much work or something.
This is a Pentium 4, 3.4ghz, 100gb, 128mb ATI rage, 2gig RAM laptop with a fresh install.
Is there something I can do about this inability to stay stable? I have it lifted off the desk so it can breathe too.
