I just got through wiping Vista off a couple T60p's we have here at work and the same devices you mentioned were giving me trouble as well, so hopefully this helps :]

Question
Biometric coprocessor driver
Original load is Vista; I ripped out and installed XP Pro SP2; ran Thinkvantage System Update but still unable to resolve unknown hardware within device manager. 2 devices showing: "biometric processor" and "unknown hardware" is this only something for Vista or can it be detected under XP also?
