customer brought in a dell d630 notebook with a video problem. the screen is distorted it does this from the boot not a windows issue(bios also)  hooked it up to external monitor same thing. installed new ram in it (customer said came up with memory parity error) no joy,was using notebook without ac adapter plugged in and battery ran completely down. plugged in ac adapter and presto video was perfect. rebooted several times no problem.put customers original ram back in notebook came up with memory mismatch so let it go into bios to recognize memory and on the boot problem back. ran diagnostics and it came up with video ram read error. i have been unable to get normal video back, do i believe the diagnostics or is there some reset i could poddibly try. kid seemed to be a tinkerer by some of the off the wall settings i saw in bios.Start Free Trial
