Can't figure out how to get SD card to work in laptop.

I have a Sandisk Micro SD Card and adapter which I have placed into the SD card slot which is on my Toshiba laptop.  When I insert it, the SD card indicator light flashes for about half a second.  After that nothing happens, and I can't figure out how to access the data on the SD card.  I have searched in the Ask Iris pages provided by Toshiba support and in the Microsoft knowledge base and haven't been able to find a fix for this problem.  What must I do to access the SD card via the SD card slot?Start Free Trial
