Peralesa is correct. The gateway address should be the router's address. For Netgear I believe 192.168.0.1 is the default, but you could also try 192.168.2.1 if that does not work.

So far none of the posted advice solved my issue. Although the information provide a good solid foundation to troubleshoot from.
I have an ActionTek wireless router.
Plugged into the router is a Sling Box, twp desktop PC's and a NetGear Range extender.
The range extender plugs into a wall socket. An Ethernet cable plugs into the router and the other end plugs into the wall unit.
The secondary NetGear range extender receiver plugs into a secondary wall socket. This one receives a wireless signal from the primary extender and relays that signal to my wifes laptop wireless.
I see the NetGear connection which we are connected to however if I use 192.168.1.1 which is the ip provide from ipconfig /all it takes me into the ActionTek router. The Actiontec router is secured. The NetGear is still uns4ecured but the wife's laptop works from netgears signal which is a strong signal.
Ok, now I see the picture. The netgear range extender has a different IP address. I think the manual shows it as 192.168.0.101. Try putting that in the browser. (http://192.168.0.101) You should get to the config screen for the netgear range extender.

go to command line, and type ipconfig
what is your gateway? or dhcp server?
when you find that, use that in your web browser for the router
