How To Install windows xp on preinstalled windows vista home basic on Dell Vostro 1510
Hi,
I have a dell Vostro 1510 laptop with preinstalled windows vista home basic.
i want to install windows xp sp2 on it. so i created another primary partition
with acronis disk server suite . after that i activated that partions with that partition but
after booting from dvd-rw windows can find hdd for its next installation step.
How can i get rid from this problem?

you need to give the sata drivers from floppy, or slipstream them into your setup cd :
