I know DELL has a dos app that you can use to change the service tag, or they might also call it the asset tag. You could call their support line and ask for it.

service tag remover for dell lattitude e4300
I need to remove the service tag that came with a the laptop I bought off ebay. It has a rude word in place and I would like to get rid of it if there is a way. Please advise. Thanks!

I made a bootable cd with the .exe file. boots up in dos but doesnt give me the option to run from the CD drive :( ...therefore i did the following...
I then booted in safe mode with cmd line, ran the exe file, and got the following message window:
