How do we backup our networked Laptops to the server, and have a 3 tier GFS backup for each Laptop

Hello experts,

I'd like some advice.

We have a standard WinXP/Windows 2003 Server environment.

We need to be able to give our laptop users a backup solution that allows them (or automatically) to backup agreed folders from their C: drive to a folder (I:\Backup) on their networked HOME directory.

However, ideally we would have a solution that managed the created backups, by ensuring that only 3 generations of backup exist for each laptop. i.e. only 3 backups in the I:\Backup directory. This is to ensure that our network drives don't get full of backups, that we then backup to tape.

Does anyone have any nice cheap solutions or suggestions for this ?

Many thanks  in advance.
