I am new to laptops and recently i have purchased a loptop "Fusitsu-Siemens Amilo D 8830"
FSC Amilo D 8830 P4-2.8Ghz/1024MB/80GB DVD-Brenner
it is generating lot of heat........i have seen other laptops from samsung or acer, they are not generating this much heat.
what is the problem with my laptop?
is my choice ok?
what kind of precautions should i take, to have long period?
please let me inform about this laptop, and related infomation.

1 gig 2.8 ghz laptop is gonna get hot anyway, after 10 mins I cant keep mine on my lap anymore cause the ram heatsink starts to burn my legs. I would only start to worry if you see problems such as the computer shuting down after a short time from boot. To prolong laptop life i suggest you set the fan to performance mode in BIOS (if you have the option) this will suck on your battery harder but will keep all your crucial components cool and happy.
