Where are the Bluetooth drivers for Compaq Presario X1000?

I have a Compaq Presario X1000 laptop.  I have upgraded the operating system to Windows XP Professional.  I did this IMMEDIATELY after opening the unit to rid myself of all of the Compaq "droppings" that installed into the OEM version of the OS.  Well, now I seem to have an issue.  I would like to use Bluetooth with my laptop, but I must be missing something.  I need someone to help me track down whatever issue, driver, or software I am missing.

That is where the drivers are

IF this machine came with an installation disk then the drivers are on the disk. Sometimes there are two disk and the second one haa the drivers.

I would really like to find the Bluetooth driver clean and simple.  If not I'll consider installing all of the Compaq crap.  I found the http://h20015.www2.hp.com/en/softwareList.jhtml?reg=&cc=us&prodId=compaqpres350715&lc=en&plc=&softitem=Microsoft%20Windows%20XP&sw_lang=en&pagetype=software but hesitated on installing things just because they may work.

I realize it is incredibly tough to troubleshoot without hardware and software with you to work with, but I really appreciate all the advice.

Sorry CJCraft I forgot about this. I am not and expert on Bluetooth. But I do know Compag sometimes uses proprietary devices and usually only their drivers will work.

One or all of these free utilities usually can identify the devices vendor and model number which then you could use this info to see if there are other drivers available.
