Browse All TopicsHi all-
I'm about to purchase a new IBM Thinkpad T40 laptop for my boss. She's rather excited to utilize the internal Intel wireless NIC since she's been using an older Linksys pcmcia card which sticks out of the side of her T23.
At the hospital we work at we just recently had a large scale Cisco Wireless solution installed that's based on LEAP. I've yet to get a clear answer on whether or not the Intel NIC's in the Thinkpads can support the Cisco LEAP solution. The group who installed the network are only testing pcmcia Cisco cards and internal Dell Truemobile cards, no Intel. Don't ask me why...
Anyhow, I'm curious if anyone works in a similar enviornment and what your experiences have been with the Thinkpad's using the Intel chips.
Thanks much-
Lee

It looks like there may be an issue, according to IBM.
