Did it ever work in the dock or did you just start using it in the dock? Do you have another dock to test it in?  Might be drvier isue with the dock. Let me kno the above answers and we can go from there.

It has never worked.I undock it to a meeting and when I come back I dock it and its supposed to be on for me to continue working but it reboots itself and I have to log in again to continue my work.I think its a driver issue with the dock station, can you help me with how to get it .
Thanks.
From what you said it tells me you have the laptop in the dock and are working. You then have to go to a meeting so you take the laptop out of the dock without shutting it down or logging off. Then after your meeting you put it back in the dock with the laptop still on and you logged in. It then restarts. Is that correct?

Well first off: You are NOT SUPPOSED to dock or undock most laptops without shutting them down first.
They aren't designed for it.

Why?
The Operating System has to go through the BOOT sequence to reconfigure for the new hardware arrangement.

When you undock the PC, are you using the software utility designed for that? Normally you have a separate menu point for undocking, either in the task tray or in the shutdown menu. IF you just undock the PC without using such a tool you'll have problems.
Yes "Hladamjr" after the meeting when I put it back in the dock still on it should come right on the monitor to continue from where i left off during the meeting but the problem is the laptop reboots itself for me to log on again and any unsafed stuff from the meeting are lost. I undock it rightly from the Start, undock b4 I eject it from the station.
Other users having the same laptop as mine Dell Latitude D610 are working fine.
Hope this information helps.
Thanks
