Try resetting the BIOS to defaults.
(Or dig in the BIOS for settings.)
Someone may have disabled the built in keyboard to use an external USB or PS2 keyboard.

Browse All TopicsHello.. I have a hp pavilion ze2000 and the keyboard will not work right. I have tried alot of thing and when i tried a format and it says "Hit any key to Boot from CD" and i can hit anything and it will not work the keyboard does not work. But if i hit F10 to get into BIOS and i have found that all the keys work in BIOS. I dont know why this is and i was going to order a new keyboard but i dont think that, that would help.

Check keyboard properties in Control Panel to be sure it sees the right type keyboard.
