Okay, first are your Vista and XP the 32-bit or 64-bit versions?
That matters too.

I'm downgrading/updrading an Acer 5520 from Vista to XP. Lavalys' Everest tells me most of the onboard hardware is MCP-67 NVIDIA hardware.
Can anyone point me to the download link for XP-compatible chipset/hardware drivers?
Not finding anything on NVIDIA or Acer's site.

Ole Sparky is correct.
The Aspire 4520 does use the nVIDIA nForce 610M and GeForce 7000M combination.

Here is a guide in EnGRish on how to install XP on an Aspire 4520.
It should work for your system too. (Same drivers.)

{I can not verify if it actually works but it seems like it should.}

According to this page Acer has included the XP drivers in the new version of Resource DVD for the 4520.

If that's true then download and burn that DVD and you should be golden.

The chipset is the Nvidia Nforce 610M (with GeForce 7000m Video)which Nvidia doesn't have XP drivers for. Any notebook driver comes from the manufacturer. ver/downlo ad.asp?fil e=/driver/ whole/note book/AS452 0/WinXP/Ch ipset.zip
You have run into the Vi$ta roadblock. M$ doesn't want you switching to XP so they make it very hard to go backward.
I did find an XP driver for the aspire 4520 out of China which also has this chipset installed. Its the closest thing I could find, and really don't know if it will work or not.
