USB Ports Not working

I have a Compaq laptop that the USB ports have stopped working. I have a kodak camera that just lights up when its plugged into the port. The camera isn't reconized by the operating system any more. I went to the device manager and all systems are working properly. I reloaded the camera software, still nothing. I went into the BIOS section and didn't see anything there for serial ports,... possible I have over looked them. The laptop is using Insyde H20 bios. I was thinking my next step is to reset the BIOS.

Any direction in this matter would be great!
