Dell Latitude D510 will not charge
Dell Latitude D510 Tag number HLC9V71, PROCESSOR..., 80536, PENTIUM M DOTHAN..., Pentium M
would not stay charged and would not charge.
Ordered a new battery and power adaptor.
The new battery fired the laptop right up but the new power adaptor would not charge the battery and the laptop will not run with just the power adaptor. I'm back to zero power.
Any suggestions besides ordering another power adaptor?
If I need a new board any suggestions where to purchase?

Since you've tried two batteries and two power adapters it seems likely the problem is in the laptop itself. Since the laptop won't run off just the power adapter, it seems likely there's something wrong early in the power distribution circuitry. You'll likely need a new motherboard.

I need the sameboard because we have a database on it that collects data for us which the user has no back of.

I'm also looking for na imaging option maybe this will do it as well:
C drive RAID1 build on two 36GB SCSI drives about 4 years ago, I hot swapped one of the drives with a 148GB drive about one year ago. I just ordered another 148GB SCSI and will swapout the other 36GB so that I have two 148GB drives. I want to change the RAID1 of 36GB to utilize the new larger drives without losing anything. This C drive runs SBS2003 which includes Exchange. Exchange runs on my D drive which is a RAID5.

if you want, buy the partition, or disk manager software; they have the function included

if you are not sure, and want to test it, put an empty drive in a newer laptop, and test if tit works !

You may just have a broken power jack on the motherboard, which is not too difficult to fix.

The following post ID's responded with the answer of a bad motherboard. http:#a38347262, and http:#a38347272. http:#a38347295 asked for the model number of the laptop, http:#a38351002 provided the information, http:#a38351075 provided a link and information for a refurbished board. http:#a38356188 stated the motherboard had been replaced. Points went to http:#a38349091 which did not provide a solution.
