Browse All TopicsI just installed a new motherboard. it is a VA 503+ with a AMD 450 with 3D now chip. I have 96 meg of ram installed on the board, that is 2-32 meg 72 pin SIMMS and 2-16 meg 72 pin SIMMS. I was getting lots of fatal execption errors, but had some jumpers wrong and I think I rectified that problem by finally getting the right jumpers set. (I did call the place I bought the board and chip from and they led me in the right direction for the jumpers. How ever I am still getting problems when I install Win 98. It stops in the middle of the install and gives me a Fatal Exception error with some numbers and VxD and I believe it says some thing about cache. Is there a problem with the board or is there a fix for this. If I can not get it taken care of I guess I will have to return the board and chip, guess I should have stayed with Intell like I was before. ?????? Thanks.
