The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not?   • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. PC DEAD No Monitor, Boot up NORMAL

I have a problem with a PC.
Even though I am a Tech I can not solve this one.
I am looking for the cheap option.

The Monitor will not power up when the pc is turned on.

The system starts up as normal (Can hear system check, CD spin, HDD Spin.
Sound like it starts windows but cannot see.

Monitor works on another machine.
Graphics Card Fine.

Tried Popping BIOS. Nothing.
Tightened all cards, memory, cpu. Nothing.

System Spec.
VX VIA Chipset Main Board
133 Cpu
32 Mb Ram
1.2 Gb Hdd
Windows 95

Has Mainboard Gone???
Has CPU Gone???
Has Memory Gone???

Any Help Appreciated.
