  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. computer doesn't boot up

I have a problem.  My computer does not boot up.  When I turn on the power supply all my IDE devices (cd, dvd, hard drive) act like they are booting up.  But my motherboard seems like its not getting power.  The fan on the CPU doesn't run.  I havn't check the fan on the motherboard chip, but if you need to know ask me.

Sometimes when I turn on the power supply I hear a long beep and after a few seconds the computer turns itself off.  Still it seems that the motherboard isn't receiving any power.

My computer was fine before one evening it suddenly turned off while I was on the net.  When I tried to turn it on I came across this problem.

I think it maybe a short circuit but not sure if its the motherboard or the CPU.
