Browse All TopicsI have an older 300cyrus system with on board shared video. I dismanteled and cleaned and now I get a 8 beep error on post. The bios is AMI and that error code refers to a "display memory read/write error" I did a battery removal to reset CMOS. Checked all voltages from PS and are good. Tried a boot disc but no good. Running 98 OS. I'm using this as a learning tool. Any help would be great. The hard drive light stays on and I did change the ribbin cable ,no change. After i get a 8 beep error it changes to a constant beep unlike the standard error post beeps.
