You need to identify your motherboard make and model and then load any chipset/controller device drivers there may be.

ASKER

you mean that i need to update my motherboard
he means you need to update the drivers....not physically update the motherboard....
Q. What is a mass storage controller?
A.  mass storage controller (such as a SCSI, RAID, or Fibre Channel adapter)

This could be on the motherboard or it could be an add on card.

With out knowing your MB manufacture or model All we can do is guess.
i downloaded some files from the motherboard's manufacturer website.
how do i open these .bin files?
i guess i need to update the BIOS too. can you give me some tips about doing that,
thanks
No not without knowing your motherboard make and model.
With out this info it is a guessing game of what FLASH utility to use.
i found the make and model of my motherboard, Abit-BP6
i downloaded the relevant files from the website
Are you up and running or do you still need help?
the problem turned out to be the VGA card,
i replaced it with new one
now it works great
thanks guys
