Browse All TopicsI have a IBM thinkpad T21 labtop. This machine came with P3 800 Mhz CPU. Recently the system speed was slowed down suddenly. Thus I tested the system, and I found a wired problem. The system information said my CPU as "X86 family 6 model 8 stepping 6" which is a correct model name for P3 800 Mhz CPU. But it said the clock speed as "~647 Mhz" instead of "~800 Mhz"!!!! When I ran a couple of benchmarking software, I found same problem (slow CPU clock speed). Does anybody have heard a problem like this before? Is this a hardware problem or software problem? I didn't change anything in mainboard or BIOS settings.
