Or get the BIOS number on startup (bottom of screen) and refer to a BIOS reference site and find the motherboard from that.

Browse All TopicsHi,
I am trying to upgrade my friend's computer. Unfortunately she didn't have the manual
of the motherboard left lying around so I have little reference on what hardware this
motherboard could support.
Is there anyway to find out the following?
1. What brand and model number the motherboard is
2. What type of memory modules (eg 133 Mhz? ) it could support
3. What type of Hard disks it would support ( eg UDMA 33 or 66 ? )
I figured that if I could find out about 1 I should be able to grab the manual from the
manufacturer's site and figure out number 2 + 3. But I have no idea where to start looking
any help is appreciated
Thanx
