Browse All TopicsHi,
I want to build a Windows 2000 server cluster with two nodes. Now I know I need a "shared storage" and I think the cheapest/simplest solution for that is a shared SCSI bus. I want to work with two simple desktop (E)IDE machines. But I am clueless on the SCSI part of things.
I think I need the following stuff:
2 PCI SCSI cards
2 External SCSI terminators
3 SCSI Y cables
1 SCSI harddisk
TERM1 - Y1 - CARD1 - Y1 - Y2 - HDD - Y2 - Y3 - CARD2 - Y3 - TERM2
Can somebody create a list of part-numbers of (for example HP/COMPAQ) parts that will interconnect and work in my cluster.
Regards Jacco
P.S. I read somewhere that since I want to terminate the SCSI cable externally it must be possible to disable internal termination of the SCSI cards.
