I start up my PC, wait a few secs while things power up and stuff, and then it starts to beep. a long beep that lasts about 3-4 seconds, and then no beep for about 2 secs and then beep again etc........ and my monitor just shows "NO SIGNAL OR INPUT" or something.
i have 768 MB RDram with four slots, and you know how RDRam is, you have to have continuity. my ram bricks consists of 2x128MB + 2x256MB bricks. I also have 2 continuity bricks (they're just there to provide continuity).
this have happened before (one day ago to be precise), i just opened up the case, wiggled a bit on the memorybricks and the videocard (don't know why..) and it worked. the PC was on the rest of the day, and when i came home nothing was wrong, so i turned it off before i went to sleep.
but the next day (which is today) the same beeping started, and wiggling didnt help me, so i started switching around on the memorybricks and put in the continuity bricks instead of them. i tried every combination i could while having one pair in each pair of slots. didnt help.
so does this mean i there's something wrong with the sockets??? or could this be caused by something completely different than memory bricks?
