Browse All TopicsHi, I am about to buy memory for an ABIT NF7 NForce (ver 2) motherboard
I will be running an AMD XP 2600+ processor
I have about $130 dollars to spend on memory, I will be buying PC2700 333mhz 184 pin dimm , that much i have figured out. What I am wondering is, i can buy a 1 GB chip
http://www.ms4me.com/oem1g
for $ 125 dollars. This must not be very good memory because Kingston, Corsair, GEIL are all charging hundreds more for a 1 GB chip
I have instead been thinking of buying a very high quality 512 MB chip such as this one:

I will be using my PC for burning dvds, maybe some video editing, some gaming.
Would i be better off going with 512MB of high quality fast memory , or will the cheap 1GB chip be faster just because it is more MB.
any advice would be much appreciated, thanks for your help in advance
