I have a 800Mhz AMD Athlon Slot A processor running on a EP-7KXA board with 256MB 100Mhz of memory. The problem is I'm trying to run Windows Memory Diagnostic from a floppy and when it get to the 4th test (Stride6(cache enable) uses stride6 pattern to simulate a checkboard of one and zeros) it freezes, only on the 4th test. I put a new memory tested first on a different computer with the same MS diag tool and it worked just fine. Now I don't know if it's an bad processor or board. Is there any dos software to test processors? The reason that I'm running the utility is cause I could not install windows XP it gave me errors.
Thank you
