Browse All TopicsI recently built a new computer with a 3.2 Ghz P4, 1 gig of Kingston Hyper X ram, and a asus p4c800-e deluxe mobo. After getting it running and installing all the necessary drivers and reinstalling certan programs, the floppy drive no longer reads any disks. The BIOS sees the floppy drive and so does my OS (WIN XP Pro). I have a standard generic floppy disc drive that I took out of my old gateway computer. I have tried reinstalling the drivers, and all the diagnostic software I have ran tells me it is working right. Any suggestions as to what I might do to get the drive working again, short of going to buy a new one. I know they are cheap but then so am I.
