Browse All Topicshi,
i m trying to put two questions in once because they seem related.
recently bought a new mercury (via chipset based) motherboard.
the system shows a fullscreen mercury log while bootup is in progress and i cannot see the ususal bios stuff which i prefer seeing.
it seems that in background the screen is there. while i press del to reach the setup i can see that for a moment.
i tried to hit pause as soon as i saw that screen and found the traditional screen. it listed a new key to me - "F8". after pressing fb while bootup is going, bios allows me to override the set boot order and let me choose the bootup screen.
(this f8 is different than windows f8, i mean its handled by bios)
now i would like to know two things
1. what are the other key shortcuts supported by the bios
2. how to get rid of the bootup screen without flashing the bios
i have tried in cmos setup but there is no option to disable the screen, tried chaning system bootup speed but no luck. also the manual does not list above mentioned and any other shortcut
motherboard is kobian-mercury board with via chipset and bios is ami bios.
