The only network cards that this can be done with that I know of are the Intel Pro 100B (82557 chipset).
These cards enabled "teaming" and from memory you could have up to 5 cards installed together.
You would need to have a managment card installed (Intel Pro 100S) which was bootable and this would control the stack of cards.
Then with the Proset software you could make all the cards seem to have the one mac address and viola you have increased bandwidth.
In this configuration they share the bandwidth across all the cards so as many cards as you have installed the bandwidth increases each card.
As I said though I know of no other network cards or software that will enable this apart from intel pro 100/1000 Nics.

The NIC cards are typically associated with a unique IP address, so how were you planning to increase throughput? If you're concerned about bandwidth, step up to gigabit cards and switches.
