I also have this motherboard but I am running a 2500+ overclocked to 3200+ without any stability issues. I would concider reloading the default setting in the BIOS if you have not already tried it. You may inadvertantly changed a setting...it happens to the best of us.
I did have some problems when I has both the AGP and FSB Spread Spectrum enabled. Once I disabled them I can run prime95 for days w/o an error.
If you have an old PCI video card or a built in card you could always remove your AGP card and see if it is an AGP setting.
If you type all of your BIOS settings I would be more than happy to look over them for you and to compare them with mine. Good luck and let us know if anything changes.

You did not get the wrong bios update by any chance did you? There is a update 1008_D for Rev. 2.0 and what you need is AN8D1008.zip for your Rev. 1.4. port/downl oad/item.a spx? ModelN ame=A7N8X% 20Deluxe&T ype=Latest
