Browse All TopicsMy monitors refresh rate sometimes reverts back to 60 Hz from the 85 Hz I keep it at. I use the latest Ati Drivers and use Driver cleaner and all that. Everything works great but about once or twice a week, sometimes more often, the refresh rate drops. And it is a pain to get it back. When I check the display settings its says Default Monitor and not the Monitors name when the refresh rate changes to 60Hz. When the refresh rate is 85Hz like it is supposed to be it says Gateway VX900T on Radeon 9800 XT. When the refresh rate drops it says Default Monitor on Radeon 9800 XT. Does anybody know what causes this and how to fix it? I have heard of a Windows XP Refresh rate problem. Is this what this is? The Monitor is a Gateway made by Sony and is 6 years old. It is left over from my old computer. Thanks.
Take Care, Lester
