All of the USB controllers and hubs are installed. Also there are no updates for the USB controller on the Microsoft website.

ASUS A7N266-VM USB ports not working
I have an ASUS A7N266-VM motherboard and the USB ports on the back of the motherboard are not working. I have tried connecting different devices to them and none of will be recognized by Windows XP. I think a jumber may be wrong on the motherbard, but I do not know which one.

The last thing i can think of to do is check to see if plug and play is running.
Open the control panel. Open administrative tools. Then open services.
Find Plug and play and make sure it is set to automatic and that it is started.
If it is started already, report back and ill see if i can find something else.

Check in device manager first to see if the USB controllers and hubs are installed.
If not then you will have to install them from ASUS.
Also, check the Windows Update website to make sure there arent any driver updates for the USB controller.
