Browse All TopicsI have a newly built Dell 2400 server using Server 2003 Enterprise installed OS with SCSI controllers: 1x6 Dell Backplane; Adaptec AIC-7880 PCI Ultra for the CD-Rom and AIC-7890/AIC-7891 - Ultra 2 SCSI for the HDDs. These were the default drivers installed during installation. I have had difficulty-locating drivers for the AIC-7800 family of drivers for Server 2003. My problem is that I am continually getting this message: "Device Installer Error," "Windows could not load the installer for the <deviceName>. Contact your hardware vendor for assistance." I have called Dell support and they helped me with the 1x6 SCSI BP problem I had prior to this setback. Dell cannot figure out what is wrong either. The SCSI controller has tested good. I cannot get this server activated until this is resolved, because you must reactivate the OS every time hardware is changed, replaced, etc. and I am running out of time. ...Can someone enlighten me as to why I am getting this error and how to fix it ASAP?
