I have a 40GB HDD that has currupt directory structure. when I use FDISK to see the FATs 32 drive it has directories written in jibberish. formating dont work cos it says the drive is cdurrupt. I tried to delete the files in DOS but it says it cant cos dirctory is currupt.
Im tring to install WIN ME and the startup CD tries to fix the drive but it cant!
In FDISK I go to delete the partition but when I do it asks for the HDD name, but this is in garbage. I cant copy the name of the drive to tell it to delete it cos I cant create those charactor from the keyboard.
Is there anything I can do?
This is the only drive I have and dont want it to waist. I just want to format it all...
