The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Broken USB Thumb Drive

I'm a complete moron - I was looking at something a friend was working on on the computer, and knelt down to take a better look, and managed to bash her USB Thumb Drive with my knee, splitting the plastic casing and bending the plug. At first the power still worked but data wasn't being transmitted (the computer refused to believe there was anything plugged in), but then after we tried to push it back together we couldn't get the power light on the drive working either.

I assume I've severed some connections between the data storage area and the USB plug, so my questions are:

1) Can it be fixed? How easily and who should I ask?
