  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. XP professional does not recognize some USB devices connected to front USB port of computer with P4P800 motherboard.

On computer with P4P800 motherboard XP Professional does not recognized USB2.0 Multi Card Reader (SBT-ICR42W internal/external) when it is connected to front or internal (on motherboard) USB port , but the same device works OK when connected to USB ports on the back of computer. Front USB ports are working OK with External USB Hard Drive or Digital Camera. I'm looking in Device Manager and do not see any "unknown devices” under “Universal Serial Bus controllers” node.".
