Newly Built PC - Power Problems

Hi!

I just built a computer with the following:

AeroCool Chassis
AeroCool 450W ATX Power Supply
ASUS P4G8X-Deluxe MB
Intel Celeron D 2.4GHz
Samsung 120GB HDD
Samsung DVD/CD-RW
2x Kingston 256MB DDR-RAM
ASUS A9250 AGP Graphic Card

I put everything together like it should be, connected everything (including the 4-pin ATX Power Connector), and when I was ready to install the software - I pushed the power button and the power came on for 1 second or less and then it went off again and nothing happened. For this 1 second everything visible worked - i.e. CPU-fan, Chassis-fan and PSU-fan and then went off again.

I checked the connectors for the Power Button, the MB Power Supply, I tried the 4-Pin ASUS EZ-Plug Power Connector instead of the ATX Connector, I tried a different PSU, and I also tried the same thing with all extra hardware disconnected - i.e. with just PSU, MB, CPU and RAM - same thing. I also tried keeping the Power Button pressed for a couple of seconds, etc...

There is a green LED light on the MB to indicate that it has power and that it "should" work - this LED is lit when the PSU is plugged into socket and PSU switch is on.

The only thing I could think of was that the MB has a defect. The MB has never been used before but it has been left idle in its box for a couple of years - wouldn't think though that this would make a difference...

Any ideas???
