It's a wireless mouse. If I uninstall the drivers, it won't' be seen. And believe it or not, I wasn't lying that there is no middle mouse bind. Which was the whole point of this post.

Browse All TopicsMy dad's computer has a nice wireless Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 2. He's got the Intellipoint 5.0 software installed so that he can use the side buttons. However, in the mouse control panel there is no way to set the middle mouse button to act like a middle mouse button. There are all kinds of options to set the middle mouse button to be "show desktop" or "next" or "minimize" or all kinds of special keyboard combos, but no ability for the middle mouse button to act like it should. Certain programs like Google Earth use the middle mouse button for 3D rotation and such but can't be used to their potential because of this shortcoming.
How do I let this middle mouse button act as it should?

uninstall the mouse software and let xp install default drivers. In all honesty, I cant beleive that the mouseware doesnt have a default setting button. Have another look.
