How to Change BIOS Settings in compaq ML370

I am in the process of testing a software disaster recovery programme System Guardian, on my test Compaq ML370 - G4 Win2K SP4.

The idea is that the OS is ghosted to a "spare hd" hidden from the OS. This is supposed to be hot pluggable in the event of a major crash.

1. The idea is to boot off the hidden drive, to do so I need to change the boot order in BOIS, how do I do this???
2. If I change the drives around, as in put the "backup" into the original c: drive and otherway about, the system does boot, but I suspect the array controller has just scanned the disks and found the original, even though it has moved slot, and used it to boot.

Needless to say if I remove the original c: disk the whole thing fails to boot.

I am in contact with the software manufacturers, but any input is gratefully received.

Changing the boot order in the BIOS depends on the BIOS, but it's usually as simple as going to the advanced bios option page (or boot option page for other motherboards) and selecting the hard drive to boot from.  It should boot from a ghost'ed drive, but may not if you only ghost'ed the partition instead of the whole drive.  There is a boot sector on the drive that is not part of the partition, and that needs to be copied as well.

when the computer starts......press either f2 or delete (varies by manufacturer) to get to the advanced options for BIOS.  Then select boot order.  May need to copy the MBR as well as the patition from the ghosted drive.
Is this a RAID controller?

Also if you hid the partition of the disaster drive, what you would have to do is set the new drive as a bootable, active partition using fdisk or unhide it using Ghost.
Every Compaq I've seen uses F10 key to access BIOS.

Apologies to all concerned on my "apparent" neglect of this topic.
I have had to divide my time between lots of issues.
Each answer has provided me with useful chunks of information, all of which are helping towards a solution.
However, I had left the question open in the hope of receiving more tips.
Put it down to my naivety, I did not realise there was a time limit on open questions.
Once again, many thanks to all who took time to assist me.
